Dashboard Indicator Warning Lights: What Do They Mean?
 
 LOW OIL PRESSURE INDICATOR-
Comes on when you turn the ignition switch to ON, and goes off when the engine starts. Comes on when the engine oil pressure is low. If It comes on while driving - Immediately stop in a safe place.
  RESPONSIVE IMAGE ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM) INDICATOR - 
Comes on for a few seconds when you turn the ignition switch to ON then goes off. If it comes on at any other time, there is a problem with the ABS. If it stays on constantly - Stop by Mack Grubbs Hyundai as soon as possible. With this indicator on, your vehicle still has normal braking ability but no anti-lock function.
  BATTERY (CHARGING SYSTEM INDICATOR) - 
Comes on when you turn the ignition switch to ON, and goes off when the engine starts. Comes on when the battery is not charging. If it comes on while driving - Turn off the heating and cooling system*/climate control system* and rear defogger in order to reduce electricity consumption.

  CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP) - 
Comes on when you turn the ignition switch to ON, and goes off either when the engine starts or after several seconds if the engine is not started. If "readiness codes" have not been set, it blinks five times before it goes off. Readiness codes are part of the on board diagnostics for the emissions control systems. If it comes on while driving - Have the vehicle checked by Mack Grubbs Hyundai. If it Blinks while driving - Stop in a safe place where there are no flammable objects. Stop the engine for 10 minutes or more, and wait for it to cool down. Then, take the vehicle to Mack Grubbs Hyundai.
  LOW TIRE PRESSURE/TPMS INDICATOR - 
Comes on for a few seconds when you turn the ignition switch to ON. May come on briefly if the ignition switch is turned to ON and the vehicle is not moved within 45 seconds, to indicate the calibration process is not yet complete. Comes on and stays on when: One or more tire pressures are determined to be significantly low or the system has not been calibrated. Blinks for about one minute, and then stays on if there is a problem with the TPMS, or when a compact spare tire is temporarily installed. If it comes on while driving - Stop in a safe place, check tire pressures, and inflate the tire(s) if necessary. If it stays on after the tires are inflated to the recommended pressures, the system needs to be calibrated. If it blinks and remains on - Have the vehicle checked by Mack Grubbs Hyundai. If the vehicle is fitted with a compact spare, get your regular tire repaired or replaced and put back on your vehicle as soon as you can.
   ESC® ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM INDICATOR -
When the ignition is turned ON, ESC and ESC OFF indicator lights illuminate for approximately 3 seconds, then ESC is turned on. Press the ESC OFF button for at least half a second after turning the ignition ON to turn ESC off. (ESC OFF indicator will illuminate). To turn the ESC on, press the ESC OFF button (ESC OFF indicator light will go off). ESC should be turned on for daily driving whenever possible.
   SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM INDICATOR -
Comes on for a few seconds when you turn the ignition switch to ON, then goes off. Comes on if a problem with any of the following is detected: supplemental restraint system, side airbag system, side curtain airbag system, seat belt tensioner. If it stays on constantly or does not come on at all, have the vehicle checked by Mack Grubbs Hyundai.
